Where The Wild Things Are. Ok For Children?

So I heard that the initial cut of Where the Wild Things Are was deemed too much for kids when the entire theater of children screening it left terrified. Likely a reasonable assessment.

Based on the video below I suspect that the current version may still be a bit much for some children. Spike Jonze. Where the Wild Things Are.

No Better Time Than Now For A Blast From The Past

Where the Wild Things Are, Busy Day Busy People, Richard Scary's Best First Book Ever... its hard to go wrong with the classics.

I was browsing a few sites and came across a reference to Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. I haven’t thought about this book in years, but just seeing the cover made me smile. In this case it isn’t actually a book, its a DVD, but hey its still worth a look.

Next up is Busy Day Busy People by Tibor Gergely. To be honest I don’t recall what this one was about, but its the one children’s book whose title has remained with me through my 30+ years. As a result, I assume it was awesome.

Finally, anything by Richard Scary. You can take your pick on this one… Cars and Trucks and Things That Go, Richard Scarry’s Best First Book Ever! All page turners as I recall.

Time to hit eBay to see what I can find!
