Boon Flo Water Deflector And Faucet Cover

_Boon Flow Water Deflector And Faucet Cover

This probably falls in the realm of “is it really necessary,” however I suspect that if I were to ask my mother if my butt ever lost traction with the tub floor resulting in a temporary dent in my scalp the answer would be a quick “Yes.”

That said, if you have money lying around and enjoy explaining your child’s over-engineered gadgets to friends and family the Flo water deflector and faucet cover might well be worth a look. Based on the summary (and minor personal embellishment) it:

  • deflects water so your child doesn’t get pinned to the bottom as the tub fills;
  • acts as a cushion so your child’s soft head doesn’t get dented as mine did, and;
  • dispenses bubble bath (I wonder if pablum would work so you could feed and bathe at the same time…)

Best of all it only costs $14.99

You Know I Like Rooms Decorated With Tasteful Decals

Chalkboard Owl decals will make your child's room more fun, and give them somewhere to scribble

But this takes the cake.
While the actual owl forms don’t really do it for me, the concept is a fun one. Modern Dose is calling them Chalkals and while I’m I’m not sold on the name I’m going to bookmark the site and watch for design updates.

Like a decal these chalkals add fun design flair to your children’s walls, and in this case allow them to add some of their own creativity. The designs act as chalkboards that your kids can scribble on and erase as they please.

Your primary challenge? Ensuring they always use chalk and that they keep their creativity within the lines!

Spirograph The Days Away

Spirograph tables. If this moves into production I'm buying one for myself

I’m one of about 11 people in my generation who grew up without owning a Spirograph. Believe it. While I may not have owned one of my own, I sure drew the heck out of my friends’.

BabyGadget today posted a link to a site called Ernie Bakker, where some guy appears to be producing, or at least designing Spirograph tables. Find me a child that wouldn’t want one of these… in fact, find me a 20 or 30 something that wouldn’t want one of these.

While the Spirograph tables might be kid-friendly, some of the other items on the site may not be. Case in point the spiky Olive Drainer :)

Hands Free Soap Pump

Simplehuman sensor pump soap will help keep your little people clean as well as their surroundings.

Your child is dirty. Plain and simple.
What happens when you combine a dirty child with a bar of soap? Dirty soap and a mess where ever the soap was dropped, kicked and dragged around your house.

Simplehuman sells this hands free pump soap dispenser for a reasonable $39.99

They installed the industrial version of these things in our office recently and it did wonders. I think it’s safe to say that if you install this in your bathroom it could very well change your world ;)
